"I thought you might be interested in the attached photos of a miniature (about 4 ins square) coat of arms that has apparently been in my family some years. The style of the writing (e.g. some long s's) on the rather worn rear label suggests that it might date back to the late eighteenth century.

James later sent a chart based on the pedigrees published in "Records of the Wightman Family", to portray the probable relationship between his branch of the family (which stayed in England) and the branch which descended from Edward "The Martyr". Many of Edward's descendants emigrated to America in the 17th Century.
