RICHARD WIGHTMAN
    Richard Wightman married Scisseley (Cecily), daughter and sole heir of Thomas Wodam, whose wife, Alice, was the daughter and sole heir of Jeoffery Trussel, Lord of Sharnford. The Wightmans thus became entitled to quarter the Arms of Trussell, one of the most ancient of English families.

(married Elizabeth Purcell)
    *Thomas was the ancestor of James M. Weightman,
    of Gloucestershire, England, who submitted the
    photograph of the Miniature Wightman Coat-of-Arms.

2. John (will proved 8 Mar 1559-60)
(married Phillip, widow of Underwood)

3. Richard (had four children)

4. William Wightman
